Daisy Keech Is Starting a New Group After Leaving the Hype House, According to Her Lawyer

Wait, so WTF happened? Though Daisy's name is still officially on the Hype House lease, she has moved out and cut (public) ties with the group. The short answer is that Daisy felt she deserved more decision-making power and proper recognition for being a huge part of the Hype House's now-successful business. The long answer? Hang in there, because we've got a lot of legal jumble to take apart.

Daisy told , he sent a cease and desist letter to Thomas to ask him to get permission from Daisy before using the Hype House trademark.

That's when Cole Hudson, Chase Hudson aka Lil Huddy's father, and an attorney applied to trademark "The Hype House" as well.

So where are we now? It seems like the two parties are now in an ongoing trademark battle over which side deserves more of the credit. As of now, no other Hype House members have commented on the disagreement or Daisy's departure, and content seems business as usual...

LOS ANGELES: Hype House, the physical location of a new content creator collective, is a Spanish-style mansion perched at the top of a hill on a gated street in Los Angeles. It has a palatial backyard, a pool and enormous kitchen, dining and living quarters.

Four of the group’s 19 members live in the house full time; several others keep rooms to crash in when they are in town. And all day long, a stream of influential young internet stars come by to pay homage to the new guard.

Hype House was formed in December by some of TikTok’s most talked-about stars. They introduced themselves with a Backstreet Boys-esque photo shoot, and within minutes #hypehouse began trending; videos including the hashtag #hypehouse have accrued nearly 100 million views on .

The group handle that distributes their content surpassed 3 million followers on TikTok in just over a week and a half. In the days leading up to Christmas it was all anyone retaiunder the age of 18 on TikTok seemed to be talking about. So-called collab houses, also known as content houses, are a tradition in the influencer world. Over the last five years they have formed a network of hubs across Los Angeles.

In 2014 members of an early collab channel called Our Second Life lived and worked together in what they called the 02L Mansion. The next year, nearly all the top talent on Vine moved into a large apartment complex at 1600 Vine St. Soon after, YouTuber mansions were popping up all over the city.

The Vlog Squad shacked up in Studio City, while Team 10, and deemed it the Clout House. Now, the TikTokers have arrived — and everything about TikTok happens faster than it does anywhere else.

    Collab House Block Party

Collab houses are beneficial to influencers in lots of ways. Living together allows for more teamwork, which means faster growth, and creators can provide emotional support for what can be a grueling career.

“It’s a brilliant move for power players on these platforms to lift each other up,” said Sam Sheffer, a YouTuber and technologist. “‘Elevate others to elevate yourself ’ is a saying, and it really rings true with this new generation of TikTokers. “From a management perspective, it’s great,” he added. “It just means all the kids will focus on content.”

Hype House was the brainchild of Chase Hudson, 17, a TikTok star with more than 8 million followers who is known online as Lilhuddy, and Thomas Petrou, 21, a star. The pair began plotting a move in November. Within 13 days they had signed a lease on their current residence. Originally, Chase hoped to name the group House of Olympus.

He still thinks it sounds cooler, but then Alex Warren, 19, suggested the name Hype House, and Chase was outvoted.

Finding the right location for the house was key. A good collab house has lots of natural light and open space and is far from prying neighbors. A gated community is ideal, to prevent swarms of fans from showing up. The location Chase and Petrou found for Hype House checked all the boxes and had some additional features that make it perfect for TikTok: plenty of giant mirrors and abathroom the size of a small apartment to film in.

Because everyone just moved in, Hype House is also nearly without furniture, which makes shooting easier. On December 30, members clustered into the bathroom in rotating groups, doing back flips in front of a phone propped up on a roll of toilet paper supported by a Smartwater bottle. Fifteen-second clips of a DaBaby song looped until everyone had memorized the agreed-upon choreography.

Everything You Need to Know About TikTok's Hype House

In case you've been living under a rock for a few months, you've probably heard of , the video sharing site that is quickly taking over everyone's lives. From fun memes to viral dances, TikTok is becoming as relevant as Instagram, so of course, TikTok celebs are popping up everywhere. The most famous of those celebs? That has to be the members of the Hype House, the group of teens who have moved in together and started an account, which now has 9.4 million followers. Still not sure what exactly the Hype House is? Here's everything you need to know.

Everything You Need to Know About TikTok's Hype House

    What is the Hype House?

Think Jake Paul's Team Ten or David Dobrik's The Vlog Squad. The Hype House is a group of 19 teens who make TikToks together in LA. Unlike Team Ten, though, there is no de facto leader taking a percentage of the profits.

"This whole house is designed for productivity," Thomas Petrou, who is credited with helping to create the House, told . "If you want to party, there’s hundreds of houses that throw parties in L.A. every weekend. We don’t want to be that."

Of course, there are house rules. As NYT explains, the members are allowed to have friends over, but they can't throw a party. And, if you break something, you have 15 days to replace it. The biggest rule, though? All members must make TikTok videos, three a day to be exact.

Everything You Need to Know About TikTok's Hype House

    Where is the hype house?

The members rented a mansion in LA, though the exact location of the house is unknown.

Who lives in the hype house?

The official list of Hype House members is: Charli D'Amelio, Daisy Keech, Dixie D'Amelio, Alex Warren, Ryland Storms, Connor Yates, Nick Austin, Addison Rae, Chase Hudson, Kouvr Annon, Wyatt Xavier, Thomas Petrou, Avani Gregg, Calvin Goldby, James Wright, Ondreaz Lopez, Jack Wright, Patrick Huston, and Tony Lopez.

OK, that's a lot of people, so let's break some of them down.

Everything You Need to Know About TikTok's Hype House

    Charli D'Amelio

The 15-year-old from Connecticut was called the "reigning queen of TikTok" by the NYTimes.

    Dixie D'Amelio

Charli's 18-year-old sister is also very popular on the platform.

    Daisy Keech

As one of the older members of the House, Daisy, who is 20, has become kind of a mom to the group.

    Chase Hudson

Chase, 17, who is known as Lil Huddy is reportedly dating Charli, but he told t recently that "it's exclusive, we're not talking to anyone else, we really like each other. We just don't want to put a label on it yet."

    Addison Rae

Addison, 19, was rumored to be dating fellow TikTok star Bryce Hall(who isn't in the House), but she told ET they're just friends.

    Thomas Petrou

Thomas, 21, used to be a part of Team 10. He is credited with creating the Hype House, along with Chase.

That being said, only Alex, Daisy, Thomas, and Avani actually live in the house full time. According to NYT, Chase is the one who put the money down for the house, but it's Thomas, the oldest member of the group, who manages everyone's schedules and deals with any house issues.

Chase, meanwhile acts as the House's talent scout, finding new TikTok influencers to join the team. He told NYT than anyone who wants to join the House has to have "a lot of energy and personality and honestly a little weird. The weird people get the furthest on the internet," he said. "You either have to be talented at something, or a weird funny mix, or extremely good looking."

Are there other TikTok houses like the Hype House?

While the Hype House may have started the trend, there are other TikTok Houses on their tail. Other groups like .
